Report: The Reason Other Networks Didn't Bid For WWE's TV Deals

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports at least one cable sports channel was very close signing WWE and acquiring their programming rights before they resigned with NBCUniversal last week.

WWE however went in hard and overplayed the channel and they lost interest and a number of other bids from other networks never followed through.

The TV industry in general views WWE as cheap programming that helps their station with ratings.
