WWE took the decision to add Hulk Hogan to the company’s upcoming tour of Japan because they wanted to boost slow ticket sales, at least that is the speculation. 

WWE's popularity in Japan has declined in recent years and when Hogan was announced for the tour there was a surge in ticket sales for the events. 

Hogan will appear on the July 11th and July 12th events in Tokyo, Japan.
