Dean Ambrose Becomes Longest-Reigning U.S. Champion In WWE History

WWE Superstar Dean Ambrose became the longest-reigning United States Champion in WWE history on April 28, 2014 (344 days). The Shield member surpassed former champion MVP as the man who has held the title the longest since it first appeared on WWE television in 2001.

The overall, longest-reigning United States Champion of all-time is Lex Luger, who held the title for 523 days from May 22, 1989 to October 27, 1990 (NWA).
