Report: DirecTV Not Carrying WWE Pay-Per-View Events Anymore

DirecTV will no longer be carrying WWE pay-per-view events going forward, starting with the Extreme Rules event on May 4, 2014. According to those with who have the satellite provider the TNA and UFC PPV events are listed under the sports section of their package.

A reader of PWTorch spoke with DirecTV, who said they might change their policy of not carrying WWE PPVs "at any time."

WWE issued this short statement: "Yes, DIRECTV has decided to stop offering our PPV's residentially and commercially. The only other option would be to work through the local cable provider."

To watch WWE's monthly "special events" going forward you can purchase the WWE Network for a $9.99 monthly subscription with a six month commitment.
