Why Exactly Did WWE Have Daniel Bryan Leave The Wyatt Family So Soon?

WWE officials originally did not plan on having Daniel Bryan leave The Wyatt Family so soon. The original plan was for him to be a member until at least the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view, if not going into WrestleMania.

Their plan was for him to either leave The Wyatts at Elimination Chamber, leading up to a match against Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, or have him go into WrestleMania still a member of The Wyatts and then turn on them at WrestleMania, which would hopefully get a huge "YES!" chant from all the fans in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The exact reason why WWE officials broke him away from The Wyatts so soon is because of the sports fans at Michigan State. The footage of those fans doing the "YES!" chant got a lot of attention towards WWE and Daniel Bryan himself that WWE officials hadn't planned on and weren't ready for. WWE officials then realized that they needed to quickly turn Bryan back into a babyface since he's gotten so much attention.
