Actor James Avery Dead At 68 - What Was His Connection To WWE?

As many of you may know by now, actor James Avery, best known for his role as Phillip "Uncle Phil" Banks on the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air television series in the 1990s, died New Year's Eve at the age of 68 due to complications that arose from a recent heart surgery.

While Avery was also known for other character voice work such as The Shredder on the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon, he also had a connection to WWE as well, as he provided the voice of the Junkyard Dog on the old Saturday morning Hulk Hogan's Rock N' Wrestling cartoon on CBS in the 1980s.

On behalf of everyone at WrestlingNewsSource.com, we would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of James Avery.
