WNS Fans View: Wilds' War Cry: Influenced

There is something I have been wishing to talk about for a few months now, but each week it seems something more important or time sensitive happens to come up. Every week when I sit down to catch up on wrestling there is always one thing that puts a smile on my face, no matter how much WWE, TNA, or the internet wrestling community has pissed me off, there is one act that always cheers me up—the Bad Influence, Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels.

Tag team wrestling is incredibly fun, but it struggles in both of the major companies. That is why when a really good team comes together that not only gels in the ring—and they perform amazingly—but also nails their mic skills, there is reason to take notice. Kaz and Daniels have done their time in TNA, and have been a tag team for quite a while now, earning some deserved attention. Both men on their own are incredible athletes, fast paced high flyers who are exciting as hell to watch. For fans that have not seen much from their individual careers, there is a lot well-worth looking up.

The other part that the team gets right is their mic work, but moreover, their humor on the stick. Humor is hard to do well in professional wrestling, as many of the fans are hard to impress and time is usually limited for skits and setup. TNA actually seems to take more time with that kind of thing, even though they have less programming hours each week than WWE. Bad Influence though has run with it, made it work, being genuinely funny and entertaining each week that they are given screen time. Whether it was imitating legends in their hometowns, picking on other midcard talents, or fake hall of fame introductions, the duo gives it their all. They even did the Dumb and Dumber suit gag before the New Age Outlaws did, and Bad Influence did it better.

I am actually not minding this Joseph Park and Eric Young plotline of him discovering that he is Abyss, because I like both participants, but this is not a great angle. The inclusion of Bad Influence as the villains though makes it more than just tolerable. The scene from last week where they go to find the offices of Park, Park, and Park in Chicago was priceless. These are two guys that I cannot decide if I prefer to see their skits or them wrestling. These two workers are also team players for their companies. Kaz has been with TNA since 2003 and Daniels has been back and forth with the company since 2002. Both men have portrayed the character of Suicide and Daniels portrayed Curry Man, even pulling double duty on some nights.

Though neither man has spent much time in the world title scene of TNA, both put a lot of work into their roles for the company and are deserving of some appreciation. One of my associates pointed out as well that they have one of the most original gimmicks in a time where the two main companies seem to try and copy each other or smaller promotions. I want to see them continue, but I would also like to see them succeed further in that, and the tag team division can only take them so far. I will be sad to see them break up eventually, but it needs to happen for them to progress. Until then, I will enjoy Bad Influence continuing to put a smile on my face.
