As of right now, it looks as though "The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles will be gone from TNA Impact Wrestling after this year.
As previously reported, Styles and TNA management have had a hard time negotiating on a price that would work for both parties. It's being reported that TNA wants Styles to take a pay cut and he strongly feels that he is more valuable to the company than what they want to pay him.
Also as previously reported, TNA waited until his deal was actually about to expire a few months ago before they really entered into heavy negotiations with him. They were able to convince him to sign a temporary extension for the past few months.
Styles' contract expires on December 16th and he will officially be a free agent on December 17th. Styles has reportedly already began to take bookings through his agent Bill Behrens.
It's also being reported that TNA allowing A.J. Styles to leave is not a popular decision backstage, particularly among his fellow TNA Originals.
There is still a chance that a deal could be worked out at the last minute, but as previously mentioned, his contract officially expires on December 16th and he will be considered a free agent on the 17th.
