Tonight's WWE House Show Results From Birmingham, England

The following results are courtesy of Reddit /SquaredCircle user Chipsticks who attended the WWE Birmingham, England house show this evening.

Just got back from a helluva show, best I've been to and had great seats a few rows back from where the ring bell is usually kept. I had a fair few beers and marked out for pretty much everything, got Ryder and Big Show to acknowledge me which is always fun. Writing this for all the sad folk such as myself who find it interesting.

Show opened with Zeb Coulter coming out with Jack Swagger, they got a loud 50/50 reaction, and cut a great promo on how England needs to fix our immigration laws, and intentionally saying how good it was to be in Manchester, which got a strong bit of heat. Also worth noting Jack Swagger was wearing his usual attire but with the colours of the american flag, which was pretty cool.

Fernando of Los Matadores w/Diego & El Torito defeated Jack Swagger w/Zeb Colter

Surprisingly good comedy match, which opened with the hilarious of spot of Los Matadores stealing the yellow "Don't tread on me" flag and using it to bull fight Swags. Finished after Diego pulled Fernando out of the way and did a switch-a-roo, playing possum and winning with a rollup. After the match El Torito gored Coulter out of the ring.

Triple threat for the US Championship: Dean Ambrose defeated Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston

Really good match - Ziggler was the fan favourite by far but Big E began to win people over after some power moves and a string of awesome-looking clotheslines. Ambrose won by throwing Big E out of the ring when he had Dolph beat and scored a cheap pin on him. After Ambrose left the other two had a stare down but eventually Big E raised Dolph's arm and they both posed for the crowd.

Natalya defeated Aksana

I decided this would be a good chance for a piss break but my friend I was with convinced me otherwise and he was right, these two worked a genuinely decent match before Natalya won with the Sharpshooter. There was a pretty cool spot where Aksana flirted with the referee to keep him between her and Natalya which would make a nice gimmick.

Kofi Kingston defeated The Miz

I read on here that Miz turned heel at some previous house shows but it remained face vs face here, although the crowd were definitely in favour of kofi. Kofi won with the Trouble in Paradise kick.

Tag Team Championships: Goldust & Cody Rhodes defeated Seth Rollins & Roman Reigns

Match of the night with both teams working the crowd over and everyone got really into it! Eventually Goldust scored the victory with a roll-up on Rollins. After the match the Shield threw Goldust out of the ring and began to beat down Cody but Goldust came back in with a chair and forced them to retreat. The brothers posed and headed to the back. One thing I noticed was that Seth Rollins seems to really love his job, he was super committed and passionate about every little aspect of the match, especially when he was waiting on the apron.

Fan's choice Dance Off: Santino defeated Fandango

I groaned when they announced it was a dance off but it actually turned out to be entertaining as fuck... everyone did the Fandango fance and Santino can genuinely move. After Santino was declared winner he was attacked by Fandango but Santino fought back and hit the Cobra. Damien Sandow came out and demanded an end to the silliness and attacked Santino out of the ring. He then cut a really solid promo insulting the crowd which drew major heat before he was interrupted by Ryder for a match.

Damien Sandow defeated Zack Ryder

Back and forth match which Sandow won with the You're Welcome. It's sad to see how less invested the audience is in Ryder these days :( Totally understandable though.

WWE Championship: Randy Orton defeated Big Show

Took Orton an absolute age to get to the ring, he got booed by pretty much every male there and got the usual screaming from the girls. We were supposed to get Daniel Bryan vs Orton instead and despite Big Show getting a good reaction, the crowd kept chanting for Bryan, which forced Orton to pick up the mic mid match and tell everyone that he wasn't here tonight, being as he keeps beating him so bad he was in the hospital recovering (Bryans in Germany tonight facing the Wyatt's with Punk). Big Show was preparing for the WMD but got interrupted by Kane's music, who came and stood at the top of the ramp in a suit. This distraction allowed Orton to hit the RKO to retain.

Post-match Kane signalled for the Shield to come out from the back, and they attacked Big Show. They went for the triple powerbomb but Big Show burst out and choke slammed Roman Reigns before double-choke slamming Rollins and Ambrose. Orton tried to attack him with the belt but Big Show hit the WMD before he could. He stared down Kane who backed down and left. Big Show told the crowd how he knew Bryan appreciated our support and that he would call him in the hospital to tell him we were thinking of him before posing and leaving.

Overall a really good show, and although a lot of people there were pissed that Bryan wasn't there, this meant that we got the Rhodes brothers instead which I was more than happy with. Had an awesome time!
