WWE.com is reporting that Divas Champion AJ Lee will be unable to compete on tonight's edition of WWE RAW after suffering an apparent concussion at Sunday night's Battleground pay-per-view event, where she defended her title against Brie Bella. The report states that she has been sent home from the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the site of tonight's broadcast, after exhibiting "concussion-like symptoms."
WWE doctor Chris Amman has been quoted as saying the following:
"We spoke with AJ and she informed us that she struck her head against the turnbuckle and was having headaches and some difficulty remembering her match. We examined her and noted that she had some problems with balance and memory recall. She was, therefore, diagnosed with a concussion, instructed to rest and not do anything either physically or psychologically strenuous.β
Dr. Amman went on to say that AJ will undergo follow-up tests soon. He also stated:
βShe was re-evaluated today and was still having some symptoms so we are currently waiting for her symptoms to improve before administering an impact test."
