WNS Fans View: To Diva Or Not? Total Divas or NXT? A Woman's View On WWE Divas

As a woman, I do want to endorse the Divas division in the WWE but find myself continuously frustrated at it. Total Divas has raised the ultimate question without even realising it; is the Divas division more style than substance?

I do hate how there a tonne of awesome female wrestlers down in NXT. I know that they need training in regards to mic work, more in depth in ring training etc but realistically are some of them ever going to make an appearance on RAW, Smackdown or even Main Event? Probably not, no.

As reigning Divas champion, I think AJ Lee is doing a great job. I often see people comment on her wrestling skills and they seem to think some other Divas would out wrestle her and when I personally think to the Divas that could? I think Natalya would the ultimate one to do that as she has the most experience, trains some girls and is seriously underrated. You can’t deny Kaitlyn has some impressive skills in the ring and is extremely strong.

AJ Lee to me is a more submission style wrestler and uses her small frame to the most she can. AJ Lee has more “mic skills” than the whole Divas locker room combined. I would rather see AJ have a meaningful feud with a Diva that can match her in nearly all ways. As good as her matches have been with Kaitlyn, I feel Kaitlyn is over rehearsed and can’t cut a good promo or segment yet. Maybe Eve should come back and give them some 101 mic lessons?

Since Total Divas first started six weeks ago, I have watched and been interested in it. You tend to see the other side of their lives. I do wonder how much is reality and how much is real life or if any of it is real? I do not like the addition of JoJo and Eva Marie one bit. Why couldn’t they use others? To essentially bring two new Divas to the main roster, be it now or in the coming months, and for them to be JoJo and Eva Marie? WHY?

At the moment, I do think it’s all about the style of the Divas and the bitchiness brought by the Bella Twins or say Cameron of The Funkadactyls and her constant whining.  I know AJ’s ‘pipe bomb shell’ was done for the reaction and will lead into Total Diva drama.

I really want to see the NXT girls used. Emma, Charlotte, Paige and Summer Rae deserve their chance. I reckon they could join AJ and show the others how it’s done.
