This past weekend during a Q&A session in Toronto, Hulk Hogan said that in order for TNA Impact Wrestling to be more successful, management should give total control to Eric Bischoff. These remarks reportedly got considerable heat backstage in TNA, with many questioning what Hogan and Bischoff have really brought to TNA since joining the company back in January of 2010.
The general feeling is that this comment was a slap in the face to TNA President Dixie Carter, whether it was meant to be or not. One source says that no matter how you feel about TNA or even Dixie herself, she and her family have put a lot of time, money, and effort into trying to make TNA a successful company.
Also, many people feel that Bischoff had already been given almost total control of the company a long time ago. He is considered to be the top liaison between TNA and Spike TV, which is a spot he took from Dixie Carter herself. He also has a lot of say over creative and most of the storyline ideas have to be approved by Bischoff.
Hogan's comments at the Q&A have brought up the issue backstage about whether or not Hogan and Bischoff are really worth the money they're being paid, and some feel that TNA was better before the Hogan/Bischoff era began. The dismal television ratings and PPV buys have also made people talk about what good, if any, Hogan and Bischoff have done.
