Report: Major WrestleMania 30 Main Event Nixed

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that the rumored main event match for WrestleMania 30 has been nixed. The idea pitched was to have a heel Triple H feud with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon for control of the WWE, with Austin representing McMahon.

The reason for the change is unknown at this stage however there is some speculation that The Rock may now represent Vince McMahon although that is far from guaranteed. It is also possible that the Austin scenario was never a lock and just a wish by somebody in WWE creative.

The original direction would have seen Vince, Stephanie and Triple H unite at SummerSlam before splitting up again later in the year with Triple H making a heel turn. Now things look to be heading towards a slower build, with the culmination still being at WrestleMania 30.
