As we reported yesterday here on LordsOfPain.net the city of Detroit, Michigan made as much revenue as $30 million for hosting WrestleMania 23. This is making the city of Orlando, Florida even more excited about next year’s WrestleMania 24. The city is already promising WWE officials that they plan on bending over backwards to help promote the event all throughout the metropolitan area.
Original plans were to hold WrestleMania 24 in Las Vegas, Nevada; however six months ago Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and Central Florida Sports Commissioner John Saboor flew to Stamford, Connecticut to meet with Vince McMahon. This is the first time a city has recruited a WrestleMania. Both Dyer and Saboor have hopes of bringing at least $25 million in revenue to the city.
WrestleMania 24 will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Florida Citrus Bowl.
