Bruce Prichard could be preparing to step away from his full-time WWE role after WrestleMania 43.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, multiple sources expect Prichard to retire as WWE’s Executive Director of Creative Writing & Talent following the event. The 63-year-old would reportedly stay involved as a consultant, but would no longer live in Stamford or carry out his current duties.
The timing is not set in stone. One source pointed to WrestleMania as the end of his run, while another cautioned that those plans could change. There is no word on a potential replacement.
Known to fans as Brother Love, Prichard became a key figure behind the scenes as one of Vince McMahon’s top producers.
After leaving WWE in 2008, he went on to co-host Something to Wrestle With alongside Conrad Thompson. The podcast explored WWE’s history and eventually landed its own WWE Network series. JBL now frequently joins Thompson on the show, with Prichard still making appearances.
Prichard returned to WWE full-time in 2019, working in a senior creative position under McMahon and later Paul “Triple H” Levesque.
His responsibilities have reportedly included overseeing television tapings when Levesque was unavailable. WWE’s RAW, SmackDown and NXT writing teams are also believed to fall under his leadership.
If the reported plans go ahead, it would mark a significant change for WWE’s creative operation while keeping Prichard’s experience available in a consulting role.
