Leon Slater is back on top of TNA's X Division following a high-stakes championship showdown at TNA Lockdown 2026.
Slater challenged Cedric Alexander for the TNA X Division Championship in a Last Man Standing match inside the steel cage, with considerably more than championship gold riding on the outcome.
Under the stipulation, a Slater defeat would have resulted in his TNA records being erased. That would have included his previous X Division Championship reign, effectively rewriting the title's history to show the championship passing directly from Moose to Alexander.
Slater refused to allow that scenario to become reality.
After a physical battle inside the cage, Slater managed to keep Alexander down for the referee's ten-count to secure the victory and regain the X Division Championship.
The result officially makes Slater a two-time TNA X Division Champion and preserves his previous accomplishments with the company.
Alexander entered Lockdown having previously taken the championship from Slater, but the rematch saw the title return to the young British star as he added another major achievement to his growing TNA résumé.
