Update On The Tragic Passing Of Adrian 'Lionheart' McCallum

In an update on the death of Adrian 'Lionheart' McCallum, it is being widely reported that he took his own life.

The tragic news comes a few months after he attempted to save the life of a neighbor from a fatal fire.

A number of sources are reporting that a teenage girl named Natalie Merry aged 18 lost her life following a fire which destroyed her home in Ayr, Scotland in January. Merry's boyfriend and mother were able to escape the horrific blaze.

In the days following the fire, McCallum told The Daily Record how he tried to save Natalie but could hear her inside screaming.

He said, “I became aware of a boy hanging from the top window so I yelled at him to jump. I caught him as he came down and then tried to break down the front door.

“The poor girl was still inside. I could hear her screaming.”

At this stage details about why he took his own life are not known, but it would be fair to say this incident had a huge impact on his mental health.
