The following contains possible SPOILERS for the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble Match.
According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, WWE's original plans for the 2019 Men's Royal Rumble Match was for WWE legend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to win the Rumble and then go on to challenge his cousin Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 35. However, due to Roman's battle with leukemia, those plans are no longer possible.
However, there is still a possibility that we might see The Rock challenging "The Beast Incarnate" Brock Lesnar for the title at WrestleMania, depending on whether or not The Rock would be interested in working with Lesnar at WrestleMania instead of Reigns.
This is what WrestleVotes posted on Twitter:
"Rumble tidbit: Plan at one point was for The Rock to win the Royal Rumble & face Roman Reigns at Mania. That’s obviously not happening. Can Rock still win it & face Lesnar? I guess. Depends what kind of agreement Rock and WWE have. Once plans changed, Rock may have reconsidered."
