According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the feeling among top officials is that Raw is lacking top heels, especially with Kevin Owens recently suffering a knee injury. Therefore the decision was made sometime on Monday to turn Lashiey heel by injuring Owens. Vince Mcmahon was in Lio Rush's ear throughout the match giving him lines.
