WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross has spoken out on his latest podcast about the injury he sustained at NJPW‘s G1 Special in San Francisco and he's not happy.
J.R. thanked everybody for their good wishes following the news that he might have suffered some broken ribs. He said doctors have said he has bruised ribs and a bruised lung, in addition, his sternum is “out of whack.”
Doctors have also expressed concern about him catching pneumonia because of the lung issues.
Ross has been sitting out injured since the event which has forced him to a miss a number of pre-advertised appearances.
On the matter of what happened, it is believed guardrails were supposed to be interlocked during the show, but they weren't and during the IWGP United States championship match there was a spot in which Jay White suplexed Justice Robinson into the guardrail, which was not connected properly and Ross tumbled backward resulting in the injury.
Ross expressed his dismay, saying "All I know is that the situation was inept, it was dangerous, and it was unnecessary."
