Former WWE superstar CM Punk has assured fans he is finished with professional wrestling, in an interview this week.Â
In an interview with TSN Sports, Punk insisted he was finished, and was looking forward to his career as an MMA fighter.
He said: "A lot of people like to be mad at me about that and make fun of me because I lost my first fight, and it’s like… that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion but you do not own me and I am entitled to do what I want to do, and that’s what I’m doing."
Punk also spoke about fans believing the former WWE champion will return, despite Punk showing no interest since his last match 4 years ago.
"It doesn’t matter what I say, I’ve said no and no, no, no, so many times that people just always kind of are like, ‘Oh, so there’s a chance."
Punk made headlines recently, for being found innocent in a libel trial against WWE doctor Chris Amann.
Amann had claimed defamation by Punk during an episode of Colt Cabana's 'Art of Wrestling' podcast.
The straight-edge saviour will be returning to the octagon this weekend in his second fight for the UFC.Â
