Backstage Details on Legends Appearing in Women's Royal Rumble

According to PWInsider.com, the reason why the Women's Royal Rumble Match had so many legends and Hall of Famers is because WWE wanted to pay tribute to all of the female Superstars over the years who helped make the Women's Division what it is, so they wanted the Rumble to have female Superstars from both the past and the present.

PWInsider.com also reports that the first two legends who were contacted were Molly Holly and Michelle McCool. Some of the other legends reportedly reached out to WWE about it and WWE agreed to bring them in for it.
