Jeff Jarrett Unexpectedly Pulls Himself Out Of Scheduled Independent Event Over The Weekend

On Saturday night, the Real Canadian Wrestling independent wrestling promotion held their Rise of Legends: War Games event in Edmonton, Alberta, and one of the individuals scheduled to compete at the event was Jeff Jarrett. However, he ended up unexpectedly not competing at the event as advertised "due to his own issues," according to a Facebook statement released by Steven Ewaschuk, RCW's promoter:

"RCW has the unfortunate news to report that Jeff Jarrett will be not appearing at tonight's event in Edmonton due to reasons beyond the company's control as Jeff Jarrett has boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord this morning. Jeff Jarrett did appear last night in Calgary at the RCW event but again has chosen to leave the country due to his own issues.

There will be a special announcement at the start of tonight's event to explain the situation and details of Jeff Jarrett's cancellation.

The show will still feature a huge 8 man steel cage match between RCW and Top talent. Davey Boy Smith Jr will also still be in attendance and will now be doing the meet and greet with all advance and VIP tickets holders. All VIP tickets will be still be given their front row seat for the event.

RCW would also like to offer anyone who purchased an VIP Package a free ticket to our November event in Edmonton as sign of apology for this unfortunate cancellation of Jeff Jarrett. And any advance tickets holders will be able to get a advance ticket for our November Edmonton event tonight for only $10.00

Anyone who would like to receive a refund on their VIP ticket can do so at the point of purchase or by contacting the RCW office at realcanadianwrestling@yahoo.ca.

Tonight's event will be still be action packed event with amazing matches and great talent. So RCW looks forwards to seeing the great fans in attendance.

Once again on behalf of the RCW office and management we greatly apologize to all the great Edmonton Wrestling fans."

It was further explained on the promotion's official Twitter page that Davey Boy Smith, Jr. would be on hand to defend the Stu Hart Heritage Championship at the event:

One fan also commented on the Facebook statement made by Ewaschuk prior to the start of Saturday night's event, to which the following response was issued:

"I understand and your entitled you opinion as you are a paying fan who supports indy wrestling and it’s stars. I personally thought highly of Jeff Jarrett as well until yesterday. once again I personally respect your opinions and hope you attend tonights show and enjoy it."

Duke Durrango, one of RCW's performers, also posted the following to his official Twitter page in response to Jarrett unexpectedly pulling himself out of the event:

Jarrett himself has also since posted the following quote from Steve Jobs on his own official Instagram page:
