Alberto El Patron Officially Stripped Of GFW World Heavyweight Championship

GFW has announced that Alberto El Patron has been officially stripped of the heavyweight title due to last month’s airport incident involving his fiancée Paige. The company was in the process of conducting their own internal investigation into the domestic battery incident and today made their decision. Police concluded a couple weeks ago that Patron is no longer considered a suspect in the case but his fiancée should be charged by the State Attorney’s office.

The press statement reads, “While it is apparent that initial reports unfairly characterized El Patron’s involvement in the incident in the Orlando airport, we are nonetheless disappointed with the manor in which he dealt with this situation; we expect more decorum from all on the GFW roster, especially the World Champion.”

The company added, “We have communicated with El Patron our decision to strip him of his championship title. No decision has been taken as to the date on which he will be reinstated to the roster, the conditions of which are a private matter between the company and El Patron.”
