WWE WrestleMania 33 Kickoff Show Results (4/2)

We have Renee Young and three WWE Hall of Famers in Booker T, Jerry "The King" Lawler, and "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels for the WrestleMania Kickoff panel. Another Hall of Famer has just joined the panel. Lita is at WrestleMania 33.

1. WWE Cruiserweight Championship: Neville vs. Austin Aries

We kick things off at the WrestleMania 33 pre-show with the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. "The Greatest Man That Ever Lived" Austin Aries challenges "The King of the Cruiserweights" Neville. They lock up, Neville goes after Austin's left arm, Aries counters out of it and applies a headlock. Neville gets out of it but Aries catches him with a Japanese Arm Drag. A brief sequence of counter holds and Aries went for the Last Chancery but Neville rolls out of the ring. More grappling and then Aries catches Neville with a Dropkick right to the face. Aries tried to fly through the ropes to hit Neville outside the ring but Neville caught him with a hard kick right in the face. Aries had been the aggressor for much of the match but now the champion Neville is in control as they take a quick commercial break. Neville has Aries in a Rear Chinlock as we return from break. Neville tried to fly off the middle rope but he missed. Aries is fighting back now. Aries elevates Nevilel over the top rope to the outside. he then hits Neville with a Double Ax Handle Smash and then hits him with a Heat-Seeking Missile through the ropes. Neville wanted to do the Superplex but Aries fought him off and then hit a huge Missile Dropkick for a 2-count. Neville hits a sick Snap German Suplex on Aries. Neville hits a Bridging German Suplex but Aries kicks out. Neville went for the Rings of Saturn but Aries countered it. Discuss Fivearm by Aries! Neville rolls out of the ring. Frankensteiner off the top rope by Aries followed by a hard strike and then a 450 Splash! But Neville kicks out! Last Chancery by Aries! Neville rakes the surgically repaired eye of Aries. Neville takes advantage and then hits the Red Arrow on Aries! Neville retains the Cruiserweight Championship! Neville is still "The King of the Cruiserweights."

2. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

There's been a few eliminations already by Big Show and Braun Strowman. All of the Superstars are attacking Show and Strowman but Strowman fights them off to eliminate Big Show! All the other Superstars then eliminate Strowman! Roughly half of the participants have been eliminated now as we return from commercial break. The final three now are Jinder Mahal, Mojo Rawley, and Killian Dane from NXT's SAnitY faction. Outside the ring, Jinder Mahal notices football player Rob Gronkowski, a friend of Mojo Rawley's. Jinder throws Rob's drink in his face, which prompts Gronkowski to step inside the WWE ring and tackle Mahal! Mojo Rawley wins the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal!

3. WWE Intercontinental Championship: "The Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose vs. "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin

It's time for the prestigious Intercontinental Championship to be defended at the WrestleMania 33 Kickoff Show. Dean Ambrose defends against last year's Andre Battle Royal Winner, "The Lone Wolf" Baron Corbin. And Corbin takes control early on but now Ambrose is fighting back. Corbin throws Dean spine-first into the ring post and is punishing Ambrose now. The action has slowed down and Corbin is in control of Ambrose right now. Ambrose tried to fly but Corbin caught him with knees to the stomach and the injured ribs of Ambrose. Corbin charges at Ambrose but Dean sends him over the top rope. Ambrose tries to fly again and again Corbin shuts him down. Ambrose continues to fight back and again heads to the top rope. Ambrose gives him a Flying Elbow Drop outside the ring. Corbin went for Deep Six, Ambrose gets out of and goes for the Lunatic Lariat, Corbin gives him a Big Boot to the face and then hits Deep Six. He can't keep Ambrose down though. Ambrose now hits the Lunatic Lariat. Corbin went for End of Days but Ambrose got out of it and hits Dirty Deeds out of nowhere to defeat "The Lone Wolf." Ambrose retains the Intercontinental Championship.
