During a recent interview with Brian Fritz of The Sporting News, Bully Ray took the opportunity to discuss why he chose to sign with Ring of Honor instead of Impact Wrestling. He said that while Impact Wrestling came after him extremely hard and with a lot of money, he chose to consider both deals that he was offered. Bully Ray also said that he felt if Impact Wrestling had communicated with him a little better, then they could have given themselves a better opportunity of getting him back in that company. He further stated that he's made his decision because his heart was in ROH.
He was also asked why WWE never used the "Bully Ray" character. Bully Ray stated that it all came down to WWE's "Be a STAR" anti-bullying program, and that when a company has something like that, it's not easy to have a character with the name "Bully" in it.
