As previously reported, independent wrestler "Mr. 450" John Yurnet competed in a match against Mustafa Ali on this past week's edition of WWE 205 Live. Following the match, Yurnet posted on his official Twitter page that he blew out his knee during the match, and a GoFundMe page was established not long after in order to help Yurnet with medical expenses.
In an update, it is now being reported by multiple sources that Yurnet was actually injured several weeks prior to his 205 Live debut, as he worked event in both Florida and Texas wearing a knee brace. Furthermore, these reports further state that he was also pulled from a recent event in Texas, as it was determined that he was unable to compete due to his injury.
The GoFundMe page, which can be found by clicking here and is seeking to raise a total of $10,000, does not note that Yurnet suffered his injury while working his 205 Live match, only that he "suffered a severe right knee injury."
WWE has also been receiving heat from fans as of late for not providing assistance to Yurnet for his medical expenses. This is because they only do this for talent who are officially under contract with them, which Yurnet is not.
