TNA Executive: WWE Moving SmackDown To Tuesdays "Was Part Of" Decision To Move Impact Wrestling To Thursdays

During a recent interview with Taz on his radio show, John Gaburick, TNA Wrestling's Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and Creative discussed the company's recent decision to move Impact Wrestling back to Thursday nights, as well as to shed some light on the company's position regarding the move.

Gaburick stated that the move was a great opportunity for Impact Wrestling to "go back home" to Thursday nights, a night that he said viewership was always high. He also said that viewers had "built-in habits" to watch wrestling on this night and that TNA Wrestling management are "super excited" about the move.

Gaburick made no mention of WWE moving SmackDown to Tuesday nights against Impact Wrestling's current timeslot, which led to Taz asking him about the subject. In response, Gaburick admitted that this kind of competition from WWE "was part of" TNA Wrestling's decision to move Impact Wrestling back to Thursday nights.
