WWE issued a statement on their official website announcing the suspension of former WWE World Heavyweight Champion following a violation of the company's wellness policy. The brief statement reads:
"WWE has suspended Joe Anoa'i (Roman Reigns) for 30 days effective immediately for his first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy."
Reigns lost his WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Seth Rollins at Sunday's WWE Money In The Bank pay-per-view. Dean Ambrose would later then go on to defeat Rollins by cashing in his Money In The Bank briefcase which he won earlier in the night.
Following the conclusion of last night's main event on Raw, which saw Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins both getting counted out, it was announced that Dean Ambrose will defend his title in a triple threat match at WWE Battleground.
It will be interesting to see how WWE handles this going forward.
