The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting NXT talent have not been receiving bonuses for NXT shows despite larger gates than usual although, this could change as the brands begins to make a profit.
The reason bonuses are not currently given is because the developmental territory operates at a loss. During the live events throughout Florida, NXT averages 200-300 fans, and is used as an experience tool.
The upcoming NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn is however expected to bring in $700,000 which is a sell out for 13,000 seat Barclays Center. This number is significantly higher then when the company toured Philadelphia, Ohio and San Jose.
WWE's currently philosophy is that those under under developmental contracts in NXT are being paid to learn.
It will be interesting to see if this changes after Saturday.
