During a recent appearance on Under the Mat Radio, Eric Bischoff took the opportunity to comment on the widely-reported scandal involving Hulk Hogan.

Bischoff stated that while he is, of course, very close friends with Hogan in real life, WWE reacted the only way that they possibly could and that if Bischoff were in the same position, he would taken the exact same action that WWE took. Bischoff further stated that a publicly-traded company such as WWE is required to be sensitive not just to its fan base, but also to all of their investors, board members, advertisers, and the mainstream media.

Bischoff was then quoted as stating the following:

"It was a tough all I’m sure, but at the same time I’m sure it was very easy. They didn’t have any other option. Look at Donald Sterling. Same sort of situation, the NBA had no other option."
