A Sky Sports customer service representative has informed one of their readers that WWE Network will be launched as a Sky TV channel according to ProWrestling.NET. The rep respond to the fan enquiring about the WWE Network and Sky's involvement with the following statement:
“Yes, we will launch it as a channel with Sky TV. Currently we don’t have any details but it will be going to be soon… And you will be notified by adv, email or call.”
The belief at this stage is that the channel will take a similar form to the Canadian model which offers limited OnDemand content although that is not confirmed by WWE themselves, so it could be misinformation or a representative who has revealed more than they should, nobody is too sure at this stage.
The over-the-top WWE Network service was expected to launch in the UK on Monday evening (November 3), but was pushed back "until further notice" at the last minute leading to an uproar of complaints from fans which lead to WWE Chairman Vince McMahon having to make an apology for the delay.
