Another Indication That WWE Has Retired "The Big Gold" Belt

As seen on last night's episode of WWE Raw, WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena gave "Nature Boy" Ric Flair the legendary "Big Gold Belt" that represented the former WWE/WCW World Heavyweight Championship. There has been speculation since that this would be the official retirement of the belt.

We can now confirm the official WWE website has removed belt from their title holder page leading us to believe that the company will just continue to use the WWE World Heavyweight Champion belt going forward.

WWE has plans following SummerSlam to removed the scratch logo and update the belt to their new logo which is currently in use on the WWE Network.
