WWE Suggests Paul Heyman Has Either Quit Or Been Fired

On Monday night's edition of WWE RAW, Cesaro took part in a match against Big E, but Cesaro came to the ring alone, as Paul Heyman was nowhere to be seen.

Announcers Michael Cole, JBL, and Jerry "The King" Lawler then began speaking about why Heyman wasn't at the arena. Lawler stated that he heard Heyman had been fired from WWE following the company's recent tour of Japan, JBL said he heard that Heyman quit after the tour, and Cole stated that he had seen Heyman at the arena earlier in the day.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that it is currently unknown whether or not the apparent situation involving Heyman is legitimate or a work; however, they note that the entire conversation about Heyman itself came off as very strange.

WrestlingNewsSource.com will post more information as it is made available.

UPDATE: Heyman appeared in a backstage segment with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon later in the show, indicating that Heyman is still with WWE and that the conversation mentioned in the original story was a work.
