WNS Column Prediction Game. Round 2; WWE Money In the Bank

It's almost time for Money in the Bank, so the writers at WNS have gathered to put our predictions together:

--

WHC Money in the Bank Match

Tyler Trill: John Cena
I just cannot see anyone else having the titles right now. The winner of the match is probably going to be a placeholder for Lesnar/Bryan, and Cena is best person for a temporary title run.

John Huxy; John Cena *cries* - because none of us want it and it's a back up plan.

Stephen Wilds: John Cena
It is most likely going to happen to set up a big predictable event for Summerslam, but I want to be wrong.

Vinny Fucci: John Cena/Cesaro
I didn’t like this idea when I read about the titles being pulled separately. It should’ve been a solitary belt once they were “unified”. And don’t get me wrong; I love the Big Gold belt. Cena and Cesaro will each grab a title and go from there.

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Cena
In most cases, I'd go with who I want here. Cesaro and Wyatt are both guys that could do great things with the title. Cesaro vs Lesnar at Summerslam would be amazing. But, I'm going to be that guy for the first time I can ever remember and pick John Cena. He's the best pick out of this bunch. You need stability with the title and that guy will give it to you.

Richard Hughes: John Cena
I don't want it. No one else wants it. We all wanted Daniel Bryan. However in this case, it's the go to Plan B. John Cena wins, while making Roman look like a massive deal. Not expecting much, but Cena is winning it because everyone else is either way "Too Soon to get the belt" or "No Way will they get it"

Andrew Fletcher: John Cena
Cesaro, Reigns & Wyatt are future champions, but now isn't their time. Kane & ADR will provide glimpses throughout the contest but are ultimately filler. Sheamus is the US Champ & won't be given the WHC. Orton is still a top tier talent but has lost a lot of momentum recently. I'm going with Cena for the win.

Math Gibson: Bray Wyatt
At first I was convinced it would Cena. But I'm gonna take a chance on Bray. After a 4/5 month feud with Cena, anything other than a title win would be a step down for Bray. And a Title win would definitely do more for Bray than it would for Cena

Quinn Smith: John Cena
I sincerely want someone else to win, but i don't think Cesaro has developed enough for caring the titles yet and as much as I want Bray Wyatt to win this, I had a feeling Cena was going to win all along, once I saw him become apart of it.

Kaleb Huffman: John Cena

Majority Expectation: John Cena is your new WWE Champion.

--

Traditional Money in the Bank Match

Tyler Trill: Dean Ambrose
Rollins winning is too obvious. WWE throws a curveball and has the BEST MEMBER OF THE SHIELD win the contract.

Stephen Wilds: Seth Rollins
His push should be seen from space.

John Huxy; Seth Rollins
New DB... Everyone will want him to win and I reckon it'll be a moment of Seth/Dean last men standing other a huge aerial move by Seth to then climb and win

Vinny Fucci: Dean Ambrose
Seth is too concerned with Ambrose always screwing him/attacking him. The Mad Dog manages to obtain the contract. Seth now has more of a reason to screw/attack Dean. This sounds good as I play out it out in my head.

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Dolph Ziggler
I was told on FTW220 that this pick was dumb. But I stand by it. Dolph Ziggler has everything you want out of a top guy, including support from former WWE wrestlers like Austin and Foley. You want a huge pop for the night, and he'll get it out of everyone else. You want a moment that will shake the rafters and it's his cash in. No one is at that level and, now that he's healthy, WWE needs to give him another opportunity.

Richard Hughes: Seth Rollins
Expect Seth to have a star studded match, and show why he's so damn good. Ambrose & him are going to have a great war, might aswell add the Briefcase to that. Expect Ziggler to shine too. Will be better than the other much.

Andrew Fletcher: Seth Rollins
This was a difficult one to predict but I went with Rollins. He's receiving a strong push at the moment and ultimately needs the win more so than anybody else in the contest. Ambrose will come close but I see Rollins snatching it from him.

Math Gibson: Seth Rollins
As much as I'd love for Dean Ambrose to win it, I just think Seth Rollins is the more likely winner. I expect Rollins to win the briefcase to further get him over as HHH's golden boy, and Rollins and Ambrose will feud over the briefcase up until SummerSlam with some great matches.

Quinn Smith: Seth Rollins
I don't think WWE will swerve from this. I think they made it seem like he is the clear winner to the point where people will be expecting someone else to win. My heart wants Ziggler or Ambrose to win, but my money is on Rollins.

Kaleb Huffman: Dolph Ziggler

Majority Expectation: Seth Rollins gets the briefcase.

TTC: Usos (3) vs Wyatt Family (7)

Tyler Trill: The Wyatt Family
Usos' title reign has become stale, time for new champs. (Hope Harper/Rowan never come out to that harmonica again.)

Stephen Wilds: Usos
I think they will eventually lose to the Wyatts, but not tonight...

Vinny Fucci: Luke Harper & Erik Rowan (New Tag Champions)
The Usos have had an Ok run. This is their most prolific feud though as the tag division continues to lack teams. With the Wyatts holding the belts, I think it will be soon we see two monsters from development rise.

John Huxy; Wyatts
Think they're gathering some good momentum and would make a good feud if they can clinch the belts.

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Wyatt Family
Usos have done a great job as Champions. The live crowds love them. But they'll still get the love and support when they are chasing the titles. Harper and Rowan continue to impress all of us week after week. And them holding the titles will give their story some much needed ammunition.

Richard Hughes: Luke Harper & Erik Rowan (New Tag Champions)
Time for the Wyatts to win the belts, and become the #1 team. Its long over due. Usos had a great reign, and have been pushed to the moon. I fully expect Wyatts to win.

Andrew Fletcher: The Uso's
The Uso's need to win more so than the Wyatt's. This is their first prolific feud since becoming the Tag Champions and need a win to cement their spot. I'm predicting the Wyatt's may hold the titles sooner rather than later, but right now, I'm going with an Uso's victory.

Math Gibson: The Wyatt Family
I think this Sunday will be a big night for the Wyatt Family. The Usos have been great champions, but it's time for Harper and Rowan to take the belts. Wyatts walk out of Money In The Bank with all the gold.

Quinn Smith: The Uso’s
Can't see Eric/Luke winning titles before Bray does, especially on a PPV like this. I'm expecting them to be champs at Summerslam, though.

Kaleb Huffman: Wyatts by pin

Majority Expectation: Wyatt Family walk out as the new Champions.

Rusev (9) vs. Big E (0)

Tyler Trill: Rusev
Rusev udria, Rusev Matchka.

Stephen Wilds: Rusev
Rusev udria, Rusev Matchka

John Huxy; Rusev
Boring monster push continues.

Vinny Fucci: Rusev
He will continue to make crumb cake out of the opposition until he crosses paths with a guy who never gives up.

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Rusev
It's much too early to have Rusev lose a singles match. Especially considering he has destroyed Big E every time they've been in the ring together. It's sad to see Big E lose like this, but it's happening again on Sunday.

Richard Hughes: Rusev
Rusev Crushes. All Hail Rusev... Stupid Americans!

Andrew Fletcher: Rusev
Self explanatory I think. Big E will do the job once again. They're building Rusev so he can be used in a prolific program with an established star (most likely Cena somewhere down the line..) - as long as Big E is given time to capitalise on some offence, he won't look too weak in defeat. Rusev for the win.

Math Gibson: Rusev
I wouldn't be surprised to see Rusev beat Big E and then go on to replace Barrett in the Money In The Bank ladder match. Rusev has been doing the squash matches for long enough now. It's time he does something new. Maybe a feud with someone like RVD after Money In The Bank.

Quinn Smith: Rusev
As is tradition. Rusev udria, Rusev Matchka.

Kaleb Huffman: Rusev via Submission

Majority Expectation: Rusev wins. A Clean sweep by everybody.

--

DC: Paige (8) vs Naomi (2)

Tyler Trill: Paige
Picking Paige solely because she is the love of my life.

Stephen Wilds: Paige
They may not like her backstage, but Lawler knows what is up with that- Sorry, I meant she is damn good in the ring and deserves more of a chance.

Vinny Fucci: Naomi (New Divas Champion)
Time to turn the page until the next chapter. She’s had a decent run, I think she has the absolutely best submission on the roster right now but they’ve been grooming Naomi as a top Diva and unlike Natalya, she’ll get her run to continue with the hater- Cameron storyline.

John Huxy; Paige
Hope she still retains, I love watching her for more than one reason.

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Paige
Paige retains, but it'll be thanks to interference by Cameron.

Richard Hughes: Naomi
She was due to win it at Wrestlemania, if it wasn't for Aksana busting her face up. Naomi wins via some sort of shock roll up, and takes the belt. Splits with Cameron, and then maybe a 3 way with them for the foreseeable or until that Chicago Loving Diva comes back.

Andrew Fletcher: Paige
I see Paige winning this one. I know she's been hit & miss with some backstage officials since her debut, but the potential is certainly there to see her blossom into a better performer than she is now. Now isn't the time to pull the plug on her reign as champion. A solid win for Paige over Naomi in this one for me.

Math Gibson: Paige
It isn't her time to lose yet. I'm still hoping AJ will make her return for a big rematch between her and Paige at Summer Slammiversary, but right now that seems to be up in the air. Either way, Paige will retain after a good Divas match

Quinn Smith: Paige
That's it. She just wins.

Kaleb Huffman: Paige via Submission

Majority Expectation: Paige to retain, Cameron vs Naomi to come.

--

Layla (1) vs Summer Rae (6)

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Summer Rae
I think Layla has proven that she can't wrestle consistently. Nor can she stay healthy. Summer has just begun her singles career and really had a huge upside. Especially considering she's now on Total Divas. She takes the win, but don't expect her to take Fandango with her.

Richard Hughes: Summer
Fandango finally chooses! And he chooses Summer :o But she rejects it after the match. Or something. I don't care at all whatsoever... Summer wins.

Andrew Fletcher: Summer Rae
I see Summer picking up the win. Fandango will get involved, only for Summer to take advantage and somehow get the win.

John Huxy; Layla
This diva feud could become interesting. Reckon Fandango will screw his ex.

Math Gibson: Summer Rae
Layla winning makes too much sense. I'm sure there'll be some hijinx and Fandango will end up counting the pin for Summer, furthering their love triangle storyline.

Quinn Smith: Summer Rae

Kaleb Huffman: Summer Rae

Majority Expectation: Summer Rae wins, probably shenanigans with Fandango

--

Goldust & Stardust (6) vs Rybaxel (0)

Garvin from FTW Podcast: Goldust and Stardust
While I really want to see Ryback succeed, Cody needs a win to continue this gimmick change, which I think they'll do. And he's good at it.

Math Gibson: Goldust and Stardust
It's just written in the stars

Stephen Wilds: Golddust/Stardust
The dust brothers will win, because they are the new hotness.

Andrew Fletcher:  Goldust & Stardust
Goldust & Cody (Stardust) need the momentum to build towards a potential future tag team title opportunity. Rybaxel will put up a good showing, but ultimately, I'm predicting a babyface win.

Vinny Fucci: GoldStarDust

Quinn Smith: Stardust

Tyler Thrill; Stardust/Goldust
Hoping this is the prematch show, then Cody Rhodes enters himself into the Money in the Bank match, claiming the briefcase.

John Huxy; GoldStar
New team on the block, baby face win!

Majority Expectation: Goldust & Stardust win the preshow.
