WWE SmackDown Results (4/18/14) Nashville, Tennessee

Welcome to Friday Night Smackdown. This week, Smackdown comes to us from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee

We kick things off with Triple H coming out to the ring. Triple H takes the mic and says one of his jobs as COO is to find talent from around the globe and giving them a platform and then watching them succeed. Nothing makes him more proud than watching talent truly succeed and at the top of the list of gus he's been proud of there's no one  higher than The Shield. He calls The Shield three of the most talented guys he's seen come along in years and so he gave them power. But maybe he gave them too much power because when you have power, eventually you try to see how far that power can take you on your own and when you set out on that journey to find where that line is in the sand, don't cross the line. Two weeks ago, The Shield crossed that line and Monday night The Shield crossed that line. Triple H then throws to footage from Monday night of the reformation of Evolution as they took out The Shield, Monday night, The Shield were humbled and found humility but like he told Michael Cole in their interview this past Wednesday, he could let bygones be bygones and they move past this. Wednesday he offered an opportunity to The Shield to get past all of this. All they had to do, was crawl back on their hands and knees and ask  for forgiveness and because it would be best for business he'd be willing to put all this behind them and in return he got nothing but silence except a message from Roman Reigns saying Kings do not win wars, Soldiers do. Triple H calls it a neat little tagline for a movie, but it's not reality and says in reality, soldiers are the currency on which empires are bought and sold and says The Shield has lost their value. And while it pains him to destroy what he created, at Extreme Rules he will do just that because at Extreme Rules The Shield will step into the ring Randy Orton, Batista and Triple H. At Extreme Rules The Shield will step into the ring with the most destructive force they've ever seen. For the first time in ten years, Evolution returns to show the world what true destruction is. They return to show what true power really is. In life, you either adapt or perish. That is evolution
