TNA Impact 2/27 *Live Coverage*

[Refresh every 5 minutes for live coverage]

TNA Impact

Show starts out with Gunner looking for James Storm after his betrayal from last week. MVP comes to the ring and starts speaking about TNA Lockdown with Samoa Joe facing TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Magnus. And MVP also guaranteed that Gunner would get another shot that was taken away from him when he gains full control of the company.

Out comes Magnus and insults his homecrowd and there appears to be a chorus of “What?” chants and says to MVP when it comes down to it, all he needs is his himself. Before the official contract signing, MVP says the match will not be “Magnus Rules” But Samoa Joe's rules where you win by tapout or knockout. Magnus stares at Joe and says he is an unrefined, dangerous animal, which is why the crowd like Samoa Joe and also why they repeat “Joe's gonna kill you”. Contract is signed and Magnus provokes Samoa Joe and Joe puts a beatdown on Magnus while the refs try to seperate Joe. And there is also highlights of The Wolves winning the tag team titles.

The Bromans search for Bobby Roode and want to be a part of his team but his stipulation is that they face Bad Influence and The Wolves. If The Bromans win, they're in. If Bad Influence wins, they're in. And if The Wolves win, well, the search continues for members for Bobby Roode's team.

We are back and The Bromans start out against Bad Influence but one of The Wolves is quickly tagged in and The Wolves do an impressive double submission in the ring and The Wolves have the momentum and already a couple quick tags to take control of the match. Chris Daniel causes a distraction by kicking the back of one of The Wolves, then Chris Daniels trips the same guy and now there is a tag and Bad Influence has control of this triple threat tag team match.

Bad Influence pretends to tag The Bromans but The Wolves get a needed tag. Bad Influence regains control and get a near 3 count after an impressive double team movie. Piggy back stunner done to Bad Influence but the Bromans interrupt the count. The Wolves do their patented double team stomp move but The Bromans steal one by throwing out The Wolves and get the 1-2-3 on Bad Influence and now are a part of Team Roode.

Winner; The Bromans

(break)

Austin Aries is apparently on demand as he has been recruited by Bobby Roode but gave no definitive answer.

EC3 comes out to face one of England's own Doug Williams. Doug gets the early onslaught against EC3 and gets caught by a top rope elbow. As Williams had EC3 from behind, EC3 did a lowblow to Williams without the ref seeing it, which allowed EC3 to do his finisher (very similar to Deam Ambrose's finisher) and picks up the W.

Winner; EC3

(break)

James Storm comes out to the ring and hopefully we get some answers from last week's betrayal. James says “this cowboy does not run and does not hide” and sure enough, Gunner enters the ring. James Storm is upset about Gunner taking the briefcase away from him and handing him the tag team title briefcases was like handing a dog some scraps and accused Gunner of using him to get to the top. Gunner goes after Storm, Storm nearly hits (but misses) Gunner with a steel chair and James Storm runs away. Is it me, or did James Storm look like American Badass Undertaker with the bandanna?

(break)

Gunner goes the camera saying to James Storm saying that if he wants to run, that's fine but there is only one way back in and that is through him.

Magnus complains about being cheap shot earlier and finds a killer from Germany (Bad Bone) but Samoa Joe quickly turns the match into a squash with a muscle buster and then finishes the match with a rear naked choke.

Winner; Samoa Joe.

Up next, Kurt Angle's Hall of Fame ceremony.

(break)

Austin Aries is approached by MVP about his decision. AA says to make him the ref in tonight's match between Roode and MVP and Aries said MVP would have to trust him.

Now we enter the Hall of Fame ceremony and highlights of Kurt Angle's career. Kurt Angle is welcomed with a chorus of applause and a Rolex as a member into the TNA's Hall of Fame. Kurt Angle gives a heartfelt speech thanking the fans, his family and the for the people that stuck by him through his bad times. Not surprisingly, EC3 comes to interrupt Angle and and gives a “touching” video of his own which essentially is a video of him attacking Angle and Angle invites EC3 into the ring about this “big news”. This “big news” was EC3 saying a doctor's statement about him tearing his ACL and would need surgery due to EC3's attacks. Angle tells EC3 why he would say all this and told EC3 he has no torn MCL or ACL and gets a punch on EC3 and said the new investor gave him a retirement gift and that was a steel cage match with EC3 at Lockdown.

(break)

The Beautiful People face Lei'd Tapa and The Alpha Female. Match starts out with Madison Rayne with Lei'd Tapa but The Alpha Female is tagged in and so is Velvet Sky and counters a full nelson and after being distracted by Chris Sabin. Lei'd Tapa misses a moves off the top while Velvet goes for the cover but the ref is distracted by Sabin. Lei'd Tapa goes for her finisher and the match is won. After the match, both the Alpha Female and Lei'd Tapa start pummeling The Beautiful People with Gail Kim and Chris Sabin. OBD comes out to help level the playing field and The Beautiful People and ODB are standing tall in the ring.

Winner; The Alpha Female and Lei'd Tapa

Before we go to break, Sam Shaw says that what he did last week was to protect Christy Hemme and he was going to show the fans.

(Break)

Samuel Shaw comes out and says “to be great is to be misunderstood” ...from Ralph Waldo Emerson. Shaw invites Christy Hemme into the ring and try to clear everything up. He says he respects her space but not every guy does the same and he accuses others of lusting after her and is simply there to protect her. After being jumped by Shaw last week, Ken Anderson comes out and Shaw tell Christy that he is one of those guys who just wants one thing. Ken Anderson tells Shaw that the relationship between him and her “isn't real”. Shaw goes onto to say if he was to come on to Christy Hemme, she would be receptive because women like are always “available”. Christy slaps Shaw and Anderson tries to get Shaw but temporarily uses Hemme as a human shield and jumps Anderson as he throws Hemme while Anderson tries to console Hemme. Segment ends with Shaw using his choke on Anderson.

Be careful everyone, Jeff Hardy (I mean Willow) is coming.

Before break, we see what will most likely be a fight as we see James Storm looking for Gunner.

(break)

No surprise as we see Storm and Gunner going at each other in the back area. Hip toss to Storm on the concrete while Storm is able to throw Gunner into the trash bins. And now there is a match between the former friends at Lockdown.

Austin Aries is the first to come out as the special ref while Bobby Roode comes out first, followed by the former U.S. Champ, MVP.

(break)

Match starts out with MVP getting a side headlock on Roode while Roode gets out and gets a headscissors on MVP but MVP gets out. Another standing side headlock by MVP and gets a shoulder tackle on Bobby Roode and finally gets a hip toss but only musters up a 1 count. Runner corner kick by MVP but Roode recovers and uses a slow swinging neckbreaker. Another 2 count on MVP after getting a running knee drop.

MVP gets to a vertical base but Roode takes a page out of Buff Bagwell's book and uses a blockbuster. MVP recovers and delivers a series of short clotheslines to Roode in the corner. Bawlin' elbow drop and gets a near 3 count with a fisherman suplex. Spinebuster by Roode after MVP missed with a driveby running kick and nearly gets a 3 count. Playmaker by MVP and gets a near 3 count but not exactly a 3 count. Both men exchanging punches until MVP gets a flurry punches until Roode gets past that offense. MVP goes in the corner and as he is about to go close in on Roode again, Austin Aries gives MVP a spinning elbow which sets up the Roode Bomb, the 1-2-3 and the W is elementary.

Winner; Bobby Roode

At least we know now where Austin Aries lies with his allegiance.
