WNS Top 5 Royal Rumble House Cleaners

Throughout the history of the WWE Royal Rumble Match, certain Superstars have been known to be the proverbial "X Factor" of any given Rumble. For example, "The Big Red Monster" Kane set a record that still has not been broken during the 2001 Royal Rumble when he eliminated 11 of the 30 participants. Two-time Royal Rumble Winner and 2011 WWE Hall of Famer "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels has also eliminated his fair share of Superstars from the Rumble throughout the years. Let's take a look at which Superstars have done the most damage in the Royal Rumble over the years.

5. The Big Show

Labeled as "The World's Largest Athlete" and arguably the greatest Giant in professional wrestling history, The Big Show is currently a seven-time World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion, having held the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on two occasions, the WWE Championship on two occasions, the ECW World Heavyweight Championship on one occasion, and WWE's World Heavyweight Championship on two occasions. He is also a former Intercontinental, United States, and Tag Team Champion as well. During all of his Royal Rumble appearances, the Giant has eliminated no less than 25 Superstars in total. At seven feet tall and nearly 500 pounds, the future WWE Hall of Famer is truly an X Factor in every Rumble match he enters. His sheer size alone makes it extremely difficult for Superstars to eliminate him, and it usually takes a combined effort of maybe half a dozen Superstars to finally get the Giant over the top rope and onto the arena floor.

4. Hulk Hogan

Despite the fact that Hulk Hogan has only appeared in four Royal Rumble events throughout his amazing career, he has certainly made all four appearances count. "The Immortal One" has won two out of the four Rumbles he's competed in and has eliminated a total of 27 Superstars. The 2005 WWE Hall of Famer was also the first Superstar to win two consecutive Royal Rumbles, having won the 1990 and 1991 Rumble events.

3. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin

2009 WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin currently holds the record for most Royal Rumbles won by a single Superstar, which is three. Austin won the 1997, 1998, and 2001 Royal Rumble events. The "Texas Rattlesnake" has eliminated a staggering 36 Superstars in total from the Rumble match throughout his illustrious career.

2. "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels

Often labeled as being quite possibly the greatest in-ring performer in pro wrestling history, "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels has truly done it all. He won every major Championship WWE had to offer and became the first-ever WWE Grand Slam Champion. He has stolen the show at countless events, including WrestleMania. And despite his relatively small stature compared to other WWE Superstars, Shawn Michaels has established himself as one of the greatest Royal Rumble entrants of all time. Michaels won two consecutive Rumbles in a row in 1995 and 1996, including one Rumble, 1995, where he entered at Number 1 and outlasted 29 other Superstars. The 2011 WWE Hall of Famer also holds the record for the most Superstars eliminated from Rumble events altogether, having eliminated 39 Superstars in total.

1. "The Big Red Monster" Kane

The irony of numbers. Kane is Number 2 behind Shawn Michaels for most Superstars eliminated from the Royal Rumble throughout the years. Michaels has eliminated 39, Kane has eliminated 38. Kane holds the record for the most Superstars eliminated in a single Rumble event, which was 11 in 2001. And Kane also currently holds the record for most Rumble appearances, a staggering 16 Royal Rumble events. Despite all of his Rumble records, the three-time World Champion has never actually won a Royal Rumble. Still though, the self-proclaimed "Devil's Favorite Demon" has established himself as the single most feared Superstar in the history of the Royal Rumble. Every year that Kane enters the Rumble, Superstars will suffer. Although Kane's career appears to be winding down, one has to wonder how many more Rumbles this terrifying legend will enter, and if there is a chance that he may finally win the match he has dominated for so many years now.
