Ludwig Kaiser’s defence team has been given access to four additional pieces of evidence as his battery case continues in Florida.
According to F4WOnline, Assistant State Attorney Juanda Padgett filed a “Notice of Supplemental Discovery” on October 22. The filing followed a judge’s decision earlier this week to deny Kaiser’s motion to dismiss the case.
The evidence appears to consist of photographs of alleged victim Richard Reap that were submitted during the hearing. These include a photograph of his right elbow, two photographs of a head injury and one showing an injury to his right side.
A CD was also entered into evidence at the hearing. It could contain surveillance footage previously made available to Kaiser’s defence, although its contents have not been confirmed.
The next pre-trial conference is scheduled for December 17. A potential trial window runs from January 4 to January 22, 2027, if the case is not resolved through a plea or delayed further.
Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, is accused of attacking Reap following an incident in April inside an elevator at the Orlando apartment complex where both men lived.
Reap alleges that he asked Kaiser and his girlfriend, Andrea Bazarte, to “please have some manners” after seeing them kissing in the elevator. He claims Kaiser then attacked him.
Kaiser has given a different account, alleging that Reap swore at the couple and made a racist remark threatening to call ICE on Bazarte. Kaiser acknowledges pushing Reap but maintains that he acted only after Reap approached him aggressively.
His defence sought dismissal under Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” law, but the judge rejected that motion. The allegations remain unresolved.
Kaiser has been permitted to travel freely while the case proceeds and has continued performing as El Grande Americano in Lucha Libre AAA.
Reap has also retained an attorney. That could suggest he is considering a civil claim, although the report does not confirm that one has been filed.
Separate notices filed on October 22 informed Kaiser’s attorney, Thomas Sommerville, and fellow WWE wrestler Gunther, whose real name is Walter Hahn, of the December conference. Gunther received notice because he deposited the $1,000 bond Kaiser posted in May.
